The Highline School Board is seeking candidates to fill Director Seat #5, which serves neighborhoods in the Des Moines and Normandy Park communities.
Board member Michael Spear stepped down from the board on Jan. 3. Mr. Spear recently purchased a home outside Highline boundaries and is no longer eligible to serve. He was first elected to the School Board in November, 2007.
Anyone who lives in District #5 and is a registered voter in Washington State is eligible to serve. Please complete and submit the application along with a current resume to district.5@highlineschools.org. The deadline to apply is January 31.
Applications will be reviewed by the School Board. The Board will announce a finalist at the February 21 School Board meeting. The nominee will take office on March 2.
