Walker Preserve is a community treasure that needs your help!
Join your friends and neighbors to help remove English Ivy – an invasive species – and restore native trees & shrubs.
We will also be planting some vine maple and cedar trees from the King County Native Plant Salvage Program.

WHAT: We will remove English Ivy and plant native trees and shrubs to help improve the local park and enhance fish and wildlife habitat. No experience necessary. Tools, training, and snack provided!
WHEN: Saturday, 9:30 am – Noon. March 3rd, April 28th, June 16th, September 22nd, and November 17th.
WHRE: Walker Preserve Park, SW. 168th St. and 2nd Ave. SW. in Normandy Park, up the road from Normandy Park City Hall.
WHAT TO BRING:

  • Filled water bottle and glove if you have them
  • Rain gear, layers and sturdy shoes
  • No experience necessary. Training, tools and snacks provided!
