A short section of the trail along the shoreline in southern Seahurst Park will remain closed for several months due to the recent slide, the City announced on Monday, Feb. 5.
The slide has compromised several trees, and movement at the toe of the slide is still likely to occur.
Once things dry out (later this summer), the City will re-evaluate the conditions to determine if they can safely drop the compromised trees and reopen the trail.
The closed segment of trail can be bypassed by walking along the beach during low tides.
